Although Meta director Mark Zuckerberg promised just a month ago that his companies would "push back" against US government pressure to censor, just a week after the Biden Administration leveled unsubstantiated claims against Russia-funded RT, he raced to kick the news outlet off of all Meta platforms. Also today: RFK, Jr. teams up with Donald Trump, Jr. to plead for de-escalation in Ukraine war.
The shocking second attempted assassination of former president Trump in just two months may be the strangest of all. A radicalized, fanatical pro-Ukraine lone wolf, being fed a steady diet of propaganda by the mainstream media? Or something darker and more sinister? How was he able to fly under the radar of US intelligence? Or was he?

One of the few areas where liberty made gains in the COVID lockdown era was the increase in homeschooling. Many parents started homeschooling out of frustration with the failure of “virtual learning” to provide children with a quality education. Other parents withdrew their children from government schools when virtual learning allowed them to discover how teachers and administrators were prioritizing political indoctrination over education. According to the John Hopkins University’s Homeschool Hub, 5.8 percent of American children were homeschooled in the 2022-2023 school year. While this is a decline from the COVID-era high of 11.1 percent, it is still an almost 50 percent increase over 2019 when 2.8 percent of American school-aged children were homeschooled. More proof of homeschooling’s continued popularity is provided by the Census Bureau ‘s Household Pulse Survey. According to this survey, the number of homeschooled children increased from 3.6 million in the 2022-2023 school year to 4 million this year. As more parents become aware of how government schools short-change education in favor of indoctrination by incorporating “woke” subjects like critical race theory, transgenderism, and “green new deal” propaganda disguised as “climate science” into the curriculum, more parents will turn to homeschooling. The conservative counter to “woke” education is the mandating of “patriotic” education, which is code for promoting the neoconservative line that all of America’s wars were justified and America has a right and duty to use its military might to spread democracy. This may cause even more parents to abandon government schools. The decision of some schools to allow biological boys to play girls sports and use girls’ locker and restrooms is also causing many parents to flee government schools, especially since some schools do not even inform parents the school is “honoring” their child’s request to be identified as transgendered. As Colin Hroncich, education policy analyst at the CATO institute, put it, “When parents can choose where and how their children will be educated, they’re no longer at the mercy of politicians and bureaucrats. That means they don’t have to rely on political battles when it comes to education.” Another reason homeschooling is popular is the increasing number of resources and opportunities available to homeschooling parents and children. Homeschooling families have access to a variety of extracurricular activities and educational resources designed to help homeschooling children get the most out of the homeschooling experience. Parents looking for a homeschooling curriculum that provides their children with a well-rounded education that incorporates the ideas of liberty should consider my online curriculum. Instead of indoctrinating students with critical race theory, transgenderism, or neoconservatism, my curriculum provides students with a solid education in history, literature, mathematics, and the sciences. It also gives students the opportunity to create their own websites and internet-based businesses. This provides students with “real world” entrepreneurial experience that will be useful to them no matter what career path they choose. The curriculum is designed to be self-taught, with students helping and learning from each other via online forums. Starting in fourth grade, students are required to write at least one essay a week. Students are required to post their essays on their blogs. Students also take a course in public speaking. The curriculum does emphasize the history, philosophy, and economics of liberty, but it never substitutes indoctrination for education. The goal is to produce students with superior critical thinking skills. If you think my curriculum may meet the needs of your child, please visit www.RonPaulCurriculum.com for more information.
The parallels between the fall of the Roman Empire and the current state of the American Empire are many — overextended military, crushing debt, endless wars, debased money, a cornucopia of corruption, delusions of grandeur, bread & circuses, and a downward spiral in morality. Today on the Liberty Report we discuss another parallel with Rome, the invasions of the “barbarians.” Also, on the upside, after the fall of Rome, there was a great decentralization. With the centralized boot of empire removed from the necks of the people, society could breathe again.
Fearing another "attack on our democracy worse than the Civil War," the Biden/Harris Administration announced that the Department of Homeland Security would treat the certification of the November presidential election vote as a “national special security event.” Meanwhile...the Administration continues to quietly keep dropping charges against those held in the "original" Jan. 6th "insurrection." Also today: while Washington freaks out over "Russian malign influence" in the US media, Congress passes a bill to fund US malign influence in the Chinese media! It's OK when we do it. The pundits claim that Trump was slaughtered at the debate last night by a Kamala Harris who greatly defied expectations. Is it true? Also today...the 23rd anniversary of 9/11 - is it still important?
Former US Foreign Service Officer and Senior Senate Policy Advisor Jim Jatras joins today's Liberty Report to preview tonight's presidential debate and take a look at what may be the final stages of the disastrous Ukraine war.

Last weekend several hundred of us gathered in Washington, DC, at the Ron Paul Institute conference to again proclaim our dedication to the cause of liberty and our opposition to constant US government assaults on that liberty. Our collaborators included old friends like Judge Andrew Napolitano, who explained that the Bill of Rights was not added to the Constitution to grant Americans liberties, but to recognize liberties already existing for all persons – regardless of nationality – by virtue of their humanity. That is why the US government was purposely or unwittingly in the wrong when it tried to argue that Wikileaks founder Julian Assange did not have the privilege of our First Amendment protections because he is not American. He has these freedoms because he is human. Our rights and liberties are granted to us by our nature or Creator, so how do we get the government to stop interfering with the intention of our Creator? As I told our crowd at the event, one thing we must do is educate ourselves. We must read, study, and listen to others so that we can better share the message of liberty with others. That is the reason my Institute for Peace and Prosperity puts on its regular conferences: to help people learn about these issues so that they may better pass them on. That is why even with current challenges, our movement keeps growing. The good news, as I often say, is that it’s really not that complicated. As I told our group last weekend, one of the best ways of restoring liberty is simply to…End the Fed! In many ways, the Federal Reserve is the greatest threat to our liberties. Politicians talk endlessly about the need to reduce inflation. They all recognize that it has become a serious problem and they each have their own plan to deal with it. But they ignore the true cause of inflation. The Fed is the engine of inflation! Ignoring this while claiming to fight inflation is just tinkering around the sidelines. The Fed is the reason we have been able to be at war nearly constantly since 1913. Why are we constantly at war? Because the Fed was created to benefit the wealthy elites, and nothing enriches the wealthy elite more than constant war. The Fed prints the money for the wars and then its cronies pocket the money from the wars. Does anyone really believe that the $200 billion we spent on Ukraine actually went to Ukraine? Of course not. It went to the well-connected, most of whom operate in a close radius to the DC Beltway. The Fed creates divisions in our society. It pits the rich against the poor. Sure, the poor get food stamps, but the rich get much bigger food stamps through an evil called “corporatism.” And the poor being “helped” all those years with welfare from the Fed are now getting the bill. The bill comes in the form of inflation, which is a tax. If bread goes up 50 percent, the rich hardly notice. But the poor feel that increase very directly. That is why adopting a “liberty platform” must first require these two important steps: understand the origin of our liberties and end the greatest threat to these liberties: the Federal Reserve!
It should be no surprise that the war party will go to whatever host it anticipates will provide the most blood to feed its cravings. Former VP Dick Cheney - wrongly viewed as an arch-conservative - has endorsed Kamala Harris for president. Will Trump send him a thank you note? Also today: Are they trying to lower expectations for tomorrow night's presidential debate?
Former President Trump announced that he will create a government efficiency commission led by Elon Musk. Let’s not forget that “government efficiency” is an oxymoron. Government can't rationally economize, like the rest of us. Its decisions are made politically, and not by profits and losses. We don’t voluntarily give our money to the government. It takes our money by force. So while government can never be “efficient," it can be, and should be, a lot smaller and less of a burden on us.
