Food industry leaders are warning that a huge food crisis is coming, with slaughterhouses closing across the country and the food supply chain badly damaged. Politicians will blame this coming crisis on the coronavirus, but their unprecedented "lockdown" policies have disrupted every aspect of the economy. Plus - now the World Health Organization is holding Sweden up as a model on how to handle the coronavirus? Flip flop?
Will a bankrupt nation suffering from a massive six trillion dollar bailout hangover lose its appetite for interventionism overseas? Or is the global coronavirus just the kind of "Pearl Harbor event" the neocons have long pined for to again launch their global war plans?

What if you took a stand and threw all your weight behind the fact that 2+2=4? What if, while taking that stand people accused you of being an oddball? What if they called you a "mathematical extremist?" What if they said "Yeah, most of the time 2+2 does equal 4, but there are certain extreme situations where that idea has to be abandoned, and you must believe that 2+2=5." Would you stick? Or would back down and drown yourself into the herd? Most people when reading the above would confidently say that they would stick. Of course 2+2=4, and there are no "extreme circumstances" that can change that. But the pressures of the herd are not on them, so its easy to affirm that they would stick. Now let's move from a mathematical absolute to an absolute about man's nature: Every person is naturally endowed with individual liberty. Every person is the final arbiter on what he or she believes, and how to act to make him or herself happy. This individual liberty is not without restraint. There are very important and concrete "built-in" restraints, so to speak. Since everyone is free, each is limited by the freedom of everyone else. In other words, your liberty is limited by my liberty. That is, you can do whatever you want with your life and your property as long as it does not harm or injure my life and my property. At the same time, I can do whatever I want with my life and my property as long as it doesn't harm your life or property. If someone chooses not to abide by this "built-in" restraint, they are choosing to act as a tyrant, and against man's nature. For thousands of years, all the major religions and civilizations have acknowledged these principles: Don't kill, don't steal, don't cheat...For these are the destroyers of life. Again, if I were to present these ideas to most people, they would agree with every word of it. In fact, a vast majority of people live by these principles, whether they consciously think about it or not. But the tune changes when a person is confronted by the herd. What if, while taking the stand for individual liberty people accused you of being an oddball? What if they called you an "liberty extremist?" What if they say: "Yeah, most of the time individual liberty is great, but there are certain circumstance where it must be disregarded and abandoned." But once the principle is compromised, that it's OK to steal, kill and violate a person's individual liberty, the floodgates open and a deluge of excuses pour out to steal, kill and violate liberty. Civilization then decays and declines; gradually at first, and then very rapidly. It would be no different than if 2+2=5 was believed to be true en masse. Everything would start to fall apart...Everything. The Sunshine Patriot, mentioned by the eloquent Thomas Paine, waits for it to safe to proclaim the ideas of Liberty. He puts his finger in the wind and waits. He can't throw his weight behind the truth until he's sure others will approve. There is no need to wait around for the Sunshine Patriots. They'll eventually show up. They always do. Now is the time to defend the ideas of Liberty; when the insults are flying, when the name-calling is abundant, and when the herd is racing everyone towards the cliff. Liberty is the truth, in the same way that 2+2=4 is the truth. America, of all places, should have plenty of patriots that are not afraid to speak it and proclaim it with conviction.
You won't want to miss this very special Liberty Report! Former University of Ottawa physics professor Denis Rancourt joins today's program to examine the science behind government and media claims about the coronavirus outbreak. Does a national lockdown make any sense? Why did the scientists that governments listen to seem to get the numbers all wrong? And why have other scientists who challenged the accepted wisdom been silenced and ignored? What are the numbers? Why is the media only interested in bolstering government rhetoric, no matter how incorrect it proves to be? And, very importantly, why did state and local authorities take measures that almost guaranteed that senior care facilities would see more widespread suffering and death than necessary?

In my first week in the House of Representatives in 1976, I cast one of the two votes against legislation appropriating funds for a swine flu vaccination program. A swine flu outbreak was then dominating headlines, so most in DC were frantic to “do something” about the virus. Unfortunately, the hastily developed and rushed-into-production swine flu vaccine was not only ineffective, it was dangerous. Approximately 50 people who received the vaccine subsequently contracted Guillain-Barré syndrome, a potentially fatal form of paralysis. According to an expert with the Centers for Disease Control, the incidence of Guillain-Barré was four times higher among those who received the swine flu vaccine than in the general population. That sad history may soon repeat itself. Right now, governments and private industries are working to rapidly develop and deploy a coronavirus vaccine. Microsoft founder Bill Gates, who is a major funder of these efforts, has suggested everyone who receives a vaccine be issued a “digital certificate” proving he has been vaccinated. Dr. Anthony Fauci, whose record of wrong predictions makes him the Bill Kristol of epidemiology, also wants individuals to carry some proof they have been vaccinated. Another authoritarian proposal floated to deal with coronavirus is to force everyone to download a phone app that will track their movements. This would allow government officials to identify those who may have been near anyone who may have had coronavirus. Such mandatory “contact tracing” is an assault on our privacy and liberty. Vaccines can improve health. For example, vaccines helped reduce the incidence of diseases like polio. But not all vaccines are safe and effective for all people. Furthermore, certain modern practices, such as giving infants multiple vaccines at one time, may cause health problems. The fact that vaccines may benefit some people, or even most people, does not justify government forcing individuals to be vaccinated. It also does not justify vaccinating children against their parents’ wishes. And it certainly does not justify keeping individuals and families in involuntary quarantine because they do not have “digital certificates” proving they have had their shots. If government can force individuals to receive medical treatment against their will, then there is no reason why government cannot force individuals to buy medical insurance, prohibit them from owning firearms, dictate their terms of employment, and prevent them from taking arguably harmful actions like smoking marijuana or drinking raw milk. Similarly, if government can override parents’ wishes regarding medical treatment for their children, then there is no reason why government cannot usurp parental authority in other areas, such as education. Proponents of mandatory vaccines and enhanced surveillance are trying to blackmail the American people by arguing that the lockdown cannot end unless we create a healthcare surveillance state and make vaccination mandatory. The growing number of Americans who are tired of not being able to go to work, school, or church, or even to take their children to a park because of government mandates should reject this “deal.” Instead, they should demand an immediate end to the lockdowns and the restoration of individual responsibility for deciding how best to protect their health.
From New York to Texas and beyond, small business owners are pushing back against local and state governments who have deemed their livelihoods to be "non-essential." Can the authorities stop this growing revolt? Plus, only government could bankrupt the medical system during a "pandemic" - US hospitals going broke.
The Fed's fake economy has burst. The stock market, even if it rises, cannot hide the damage that has been done. The virus, now known to be less deadly than the seasonal flu, cannot act as a legitimate excuse either. The un-American ideas of government micromanagement and Fed central planning of the economy have failed, and will continue to fail as long as they're clung to. The time to rebuild with the American ideas of liberty and sound money has arrived.
They say we must "follow the science" and not resist the near-total lockdown of the economy and our way of life. But is "the science" tainted by politics and ideology? Also in today's program: Houston Police push back against Harris County "mandatory mask" orders, the potential danger of ventilators, and a look at Bill Gates' dreams for 2020...

Fear is the oxygen of government power. In order for power to increase its scope, the citizens must let their guard down. When they are afraid, the guard comes down. Those who are afraid are easy prey for those who want to expand power. The most popular fear adopted by governments, since perhaps the very first government to exist, is one that generates war. The fear that someone else is going to come and get you. Americans are very familiar with this one, as entire lifetimes have been spent being afraid one boogeyman followed by another, and then another. So war is the most popular fear generator for governments. It's also the biggest moneymaker for government-connected corporations. However, since the adoption of nuclear weapons, war cannot be total anymore. Everyone knows this. Everyone knows that the world can be destroyed many times over if passions get out of hand. That doesn't mean it can't happen. It most certainly can, but manipulators of power are not interested in a destroyed world. They believe themselves to be superior beings, meant to have their fingerprints on everything that transpires. They want to rule a world that exists. Total war is not very attractive if that is the goal. So, those with nuclear weapons stay out of each others way, and regional wars are kept aflame. Unbelievable amounts of money go to the military-industrial-complex like clockwork. Americans don't pay attention or care. The wealth transfer couldn't be more easily accomplished. But what about ruling the world and every living human being on it? If total war can't do the trick, what can? Well, shortly after the proliferation of nuclear weapons, new technologies emerged and surveillance became another tool in government's arsenal. For sure, it didn't take long for power-hungry individuals to start fantasizing about surveilling everyone and everything in the world. That's a totalitarian dream! Along with the advancement of surveillance technologies came a fresh new fear as well. This was one, that if successful, could be imposed on the whole world. The fear would go by the name of Environmentalism, but this wouldn't be about curbing pollution, which does not require totalitarian government power. No, this fear would be that the world would turn into an ice cube if extraordinary power was not granted to government. Then it morphed into the world turning into a fireball if power wasn't granted. Then, probably out of desperation, the fear became that the climate would "change." But the people wouldn't bite. The fear was ramped up to politicians actually claiming that the world would end in 12 years!! The people still wouldn't bite. But then came a fear that stuck, and it stuck globally. Sadly, the people would bite. With lightning speed, in the name of stopping a virus that has turned out to be no more deadly than the seasonal flu, governments everywhere got away with shutting and ruining their economies. They also placed their people virtually under house arrest. This is a bad situation for people (all over the world) to be in. The idea of government being a servant and the people the master has been flipped upside down. There is only one way out of every government-generated fear --- Liberty. It doesn't matter what the fear happens to be, Liberty is the answer. It doesn't matter how draconian governments become, Liberty is the answer. Man is free by nature, and nature cannot be changed. So the totalitarian dream is a loser from the start. But totalitarians can do tons of damage in the meantime. They may never reach their goal, but they sure will trample everything in their way by trying. The future isn't written yet. Liberty is at hand. It is a present and eternal reality. Individuals just have to embrace it, and be not afraid.
Bill Gates doesn't need the money, that is for sure. So what motivates him to spend billions of dollars on organizations that seek to destroy our privacy and run our lives? It is a big ego trip...or worse? Plus - shameful arrest of a mother in Idaho and Texas Governor Abbott's pitifully weak "recovery" plan. All in today's Liberty Report.
