Late last week the US Senate overwhelmingly passed another huge military spending bill while rejecting any oversight over how the money is spent. The Empire must be funded! Meanwhile US troops in Niger are nervously watching a military coup against the US-backed regime.

Last week’s revelation that Facebook took orders from the Biden Administration to censor even accurate information about Covid is the latest example of the US government’s disregard for our Constitution. Thanks to Rep. Jim Jordan, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, we now know the extent to which the Biden Administration went in its proxy war against the First Amendment. Getting the information wasn’t easy. It was only after Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg was threatened with being held in contempt of Congress that he relented and shared information with the Judiciary Committee about Biden Administration pressure to censor Americans on Facebook who disagreed with White House policy on Covid. What we have discovered thus far is disgusting. For example, in April 2021, a Facebook employee sent a message to top executives in the company complaining that, “we are facing continued pressure from external stakeholders, including the [Biden] White House” to remove posts. In another example, senior executive Nick Clegg complained that Andy Slavitt, a Senior Advisor to President Biden, was “outraged…that [Facebook] did not remove” a particular post, according to Rep. Jordan’s report. Rep. Jordan revealed that the “offending post” that the Biden Administration wanted removed was simply a joke making fun of possible vaccine injury down the road. The Biden Administration even wanted to “protect” us from jokes that it didn’t like. The Administration did not stop at targeting what it called “misinformation.” As Constitutional Law Professor Jonathan Turley noted in a recent column, “the administration also demanded the removal of ‘malinformation’ that is ‘based on fact, but used out of context to mislead, harm, or manipulate.’” So the Biden Administration wanted to “cancel” even truthful information counter to its own preferred narrative. This level of contempt for our Constitution is shocking. As Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. – who was himself censored at the behest of the Biden Administration – testified recently before Congress: “A government that can censor its critics has license for every atrocity. It is the beginning of totalitarianism.” Who knows how many thousands of Facebook accounts were banned or restricted at the behest of the Biden White House. Early last year I received notice that my own Facebook Page was “restricted” for 90 days because I pointed out that the CEO of Pfizer once claimed that his Covid shot was “100 effective” but later changed his story. The post was completely accurate but still my page was targeted. Although some are using this information for partisan gain against the Democrats in power, Americans should not delude themselves: left unchecked, there is little reason to believe a Republican Administration would show any more respect for the Constitution than the Biden Administration. Both parties have shown themselves to be selective in their pledged oath to uphold and defend the US Constitution. It is just as unconstitutional – and thus illegal – for the US Government to violate the First Amendment by proxy – through so-called private companies – as if the government directly attacked our free speech. We must remember that the unprecedented US government censorship of Americans during Covid was just the test run. Be assured that when the next “crisis” comes – and it will – the authoritarians in charge will again ramp up the censorship machine unless we do something about it.
RFK Jr. recently pointed out that America does not have a free market, but rather a crony corporatist system. This is important an important distinction. Historically, whenever an authoritarian socialistic system fails, as they must, the blame is immediately put on the non-existent free markets. The problem in America is not our ability to voluntarily transact with one another. The problem is the persistent removal of that ability.
In today's Liberty Report we return to YOUR question in another edition of "Ask Ron Paul." Questions include - name one thing you've changed your mind about over the years. Hope you enjoy the episode!
A new Harvard/Harris poll out this week confirms last month's result from Economist/YouGov: RFK, Jr. continues to absolutely crush every opponent from either party when it comes to net favorability. After censorship and slurs, RFK manages to out-perform the MSM favorites. How does he do it and can he keep it up? Also today: Nurses dance to stop climate change and Germany blames Ukraine's losses on...Ukraine.
With Hunter Biden's business partner Devon Archer expected to testify to the GOP-controlled House on then-Vice President Biden's involvement in Hunter's very suspicious business dealings in Ukraine, House Speaker McCarthy is even starting to use the "I" word - impeachment. Would a House impeachment of Biden bring justice? Also today...the US occupation of a large part of Syria - the part with the oil - is getting more dangerous. Is it time to pull out?
Sometimes the most shocking mainstream media articles are the ones that are most obvious. Over the weekend the Wall Street Journal revealed that the Biden Administration knew Ukraine had little chance against Russia but pushed them to launch a counter-offensive anyway. Thousands continue to die in a war even Washington believes is hopeless. Also today: Nobel Prize-winning physicist "cancelled" for having the "wrong" opinion on climate.

“Woke” culture has become so prominent in the American education system that it would not be surprising to learn that schools were replacing the once popular rhyme “sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me” with “sticks and stones may break my bones but opinions I disagree with can make me feel unsafe so they must be silenced.” Take the case of 12-year-old Liam Morrison, a student at Nichols Middle School in Middleborough, Massachusetts. This March, Liam was told to change his shirt or be sent home. School staff are reported to have said his shirt targeted a “protected class.” Liam says he was told his shirt was making some students feel unsafe. Did Liam’s shirt advocate violence? No, Liam’s shirt simply stated that there are only two genders. A free society cannot exist where a substantial portion of its population demands and receives protection from exposure to opposing ideas. If the history of authoritarianism teaches us anything it is that those in positions of power are often willing to provide a frightened people with “security” as long as the people are willing to sacrifice their and their fellow citizens’ liberty. Fighting the woke agenda is therefore not, as some libertarians claim, a culture war distraction from the pursuit of liberty; instead, fighting the woke agenda is crucial to restoring a free society. Of course, this means working to roll back government power by, for example, shutting down the unconstitutional Department of Education and getting Congress to pass legislation forbidding government officials from telling social media companies to censor certain American citizens. We must also resist joining those misguided conservatives who are calling on the right to seek to use government power to impose a right-wing version of wokeness on the American people. The backlash against wokeness in schools is leading more parents to either become involved in their local school boards or to look for alternatives such as homeschooling. Parents who are interested in a homeschooling program that provides children with a well-rounded education that will help their child awake but not become “woke” should consider my homeschool curriculum. The Ron Paul Curriculum provides students with a well-rounded education that includes rigorous programs in history, mathematics, and the physical and natural sciences. The curriculum also provides instruction in personal finance. Students can develop superior written and oral communication skills via intensive writing and public speaking courses. Another feature of my curriculum is that it provides students the opportunity to create and run their own Internet businesses. The government and history sections of the curriculum emphasize Austrian economics, libertarian political theory, and the history of liberty. However, unlike government schools, my curriculum never puts ideological indoctrination ahead of education. Interactive forums allow students to engage with and learn from each other. The forums ensure students are actively engaged in their education as well as give them an opportunity to interact with their peers outside of a formal setting. I encourage all parents looking at alternatives to government schools —alternatives that provide children with a well-rounded education that will allow them to learn about the history and ideas of liberty instead of pushing on them “wokeness” and the lies of the cultural Marxists — to go to RonPaulCurriculum.com for more information about my homeschooling program.
The market (i.e., billions of individual decisions) cannot be defeated by decisions of the few (i.e., authoritarians, utopians and busybodies). The few can temporarily manipulate and distort the market, but it's always a fool's errand. The market ultimately reasserts itself. Blackrock tried to overpower the market with its "ESG" or Environmental, Social & Governance scheme. But the market is, once again, having the final say.
Investigative reporter Jordan Schachtel has uncovered a shocking DoD memo from earlier this year detailing the special treatment for "transgender" service members, including free "voice feminization surgery" and a de facto permanent waiver from actual military deployment! And they want to go to war with Russia and China at the same time? Also today... mega make-up brand and Country Music Television go "woke" and...you know the rest. Finally, US Senate rejects Rand Paul's amendment affirming the US Constitution!
