Venezuelans Are 'Feeling The Bern'

In Socialist Venezuela, they may have a Ministry of Supreme Social Happiness, but:

• Cats, Dogs, and Pigeons have become dinner​ 
• The citizens have lost an average of 19 lbs. 
• Infant mortality, maternal mortality and malaria cases are soaring 
• There are long lines, shortages of basic necessities and mass looting. 
• Medicines can't be found 
• Violent protests take place on a daily basis

In short, Venezuela is really 'feeling the Bern.'

One would think that after the Communists killed hundreds of millions of their own people in the 20th century, there wouldn't be a place on Earth that would give Socialism even a passing thought.

But alas, the word FREE is a very powerful tonic. It gets votes baby.

As Venezuela discovers ever lower rungs of living hell, let's reflect on when U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders said the following about the country in 2011:​

These days, the American dream is more apt to be realized in South America, in places such as Ecuador, Venezuela and Argentina, where incomes are actually more equal today than they are in the land of Horatio Alger. Who's the banana republic now?

Equal misery.
